Handcrafted Products

After Kyona Alpacas started its alpaca breeding program in 2005, Fiona and Kylie were keen to find out what types of products can be made and produced from this wonderful fibre.  Alpaca is known for its lightweight, very soft and warm qualities. At the beginning of 2007 we began to produce a small number of knitted alpaca beanies and scarves.  Since then we have grown substantially and now produce knitted alpaca beanies and scarves, felted scarves and shawls, felted silk scarves table runners and wall hangings, hand painted 8ply alpaca yarn in a variety of colours, natural 8ply alpaca yarn, felted hats, hand spun fibre, wine coolers and dog and cat pillows.

These gorgeous items are available throughout a number of outlets in Millthorpe, Blayney, Orange and Canowindra as well our online shop.  We are proud of the items that we have produced with the knowledge that each and every item is individual and unique. All of these wonderful items are made to order in your chosen colours.  If you see something here that you would like in a different colour or style, please give us a call.

All prices quoted include GST, a postage and handling charge of $8.95 per order will be charged.

Hand painted or Natural 8 Ply Yarns – 80% Alpaca/20% Merino (Photos coming soon)

Our 8ply yarn is mainly sold in 150 gram skeins, but is also available in larger quantities as requested.  We have a large range of colours in which the yarn can be hand painted.  We can paint the yarn in a single colour or multi colours.  Currently 150 grams is sold at $22.00 with larger lots being costed prior to order.

We have a large range of hand knitted beanies and scarves in varying colours and sizes.  Our beanies start from as little as $20 for childrens and $30 for adult sizes.  Scarves start from as little as $35.00.
