Kyona Alpacas was established in 2005 and is a family business, operated by sisters-in-law, Kylie Streatfeild and Fiona McKenna. We wanted to be able to enter an agricultural enterprise that provided us with a challenge and enabled us to be a productive part of our family property.

After Kyona Alpacas started its alpaca breeding program in 2005, Fiona and Kylie were keen to find out what types of products can be made and produced from this wonderful fibre.  Alpaca is known for its lightweight, very soft and warm qualities.
